Your first three months with TMmeets

A short lesson for each stage of your first three months running a club on TMmeets, from getting members in to handing the whole thing over.

Most officers inherit a club the way they inherit everything else: a login, a spreadsheet, and good luck.

This is the version with a proper handover.

Five short lessons across your first three months. One for each stage, each covering exactly one thing you'll need that week. Read them in order or skip to the part you're stuck on. Nobody's checking.

What actually changes

By month three the goal isn't that you've learned the software. It's that you've stopped doing the job the software was meant to take off you.

  • The agenda fills itself, two days out, without a single individual message.
  • You stop rebuilding the same running order from a blank page every week.
  • When you hand the club over next July, the next officer inherits a system instead of your phone number.

That's the whole series. Everything below is just how.

If you only read one, read Week 2

The first lesson is setup you'd have worked out on your own, since the app walks you through most of it. Week 2 is different. It's a change in how you ask your club for things, and it's the only part clicking around the app will never teach you.

It's also the one that gives you your Sunday nights back, which is the actual reason most officers are here.

About the three months

Three months is roughly twelve meetings. That's long enough to know whether this works for your club rather than just for you. The first two meetings are always a bit awkward while people adjust, and the difference usually shows up around meeting four or five.

The lessons are paced to that window on purpose. If nothing has changed in how your meetings run by the end of it, it isn't going to, and we'd genuinely rather hear why than watch you quietly stop logging in.
